With over two decades of experience in front end engineering, I've had the opportunity to work across a multitude of industries in the overall tech sector. From franchise lodging to finance to media and marketplaces and most recently into cybersecurity. Along the way I've grown myself into an engineering leader with a wide breadth of experiences that are best suited to partnering with design and product organizations to build products systematically, efficiently and effectively.

In my most recent and evolved experience, I was leading the Design System team at Rapid7. We advocated for, built, evolved and integrated a system that helped make the creation of new features and products more efficient and cohesive. Our team maintained and managed the growth of the system as we worked with stakeholders across the business to ensure that it met their needs. From the very start, when we pitched the idea to the business and successfully convinced them to invest in a Design System team, our team were the champions of the system. This was certainly not an easy road, but the value and performance that we brought to the company and our Customers made all the struggles worth it. I hope to bring this same passion for design thinking and a systematic approach towards product development to my next role; wherever that may be.

As an engineering and design systems leader, I have brought my composure, selflessness, and authentic care for my team to the table every day. I use these dimensions, along with my experiences as an engineer and an artist to create a safe space within which collaboration between designers, engineers and product professionals can thrive. The genuine connections I make with my team, as well as with cross-functional stakeholders allows me to foster an environment where team play is valued and the output of the group is held higher than the output of the individuals within it. Along the way, I focus on mentorship and career development for every member of my team to ensure that they have all the opportunities possible to thrive and grow themselves as we grow the business. I have always believed that my success as a leader is measured by the success of my team.
